Sam has his first solo parenting weekend, whilst his ex-partner goes on a date with a man Jamie could possibly see himself podcasting with.
Jamie and Sam discuss the feminist ways a newly-seperated Dad can entertain his children on a budget, from waterslides to trampolines found on freecycle. Jamie is a little more free and easy of a weekend- and has some time to think about the kind of expert podcast he might record with his new brother-in-law, should Kat’s date pan out.
If you’re new here, welcome to the FeMANism, a podcast for men, by men, for women. Brothers-in-law Sam Martin and Jamie Hoggart are just two great guys, the FeMANism podcast is their way of ensuring that the fight for equality is in capable cis male hands. Sam is a father of six female children and a recently qualified marriage counsellor. Jamie is an ex-ITV producer with some time on his hands, pending his next job offer. Together they are pretty confident they can speak on all feminist-related topics and finally sort this whole equality thing out once and for all. And all whilst making feminism more entertaining and a bit less annoying.
Upgrading to paid means supporting female comedy AND also getting access to the video recordings of Sam and Amy improvising - giggles, nonsense and all.
And if you like comedy and politics, why not check out Amy’s other substack, What’s Left? where she interviews interesting people on the left. Below is her recent conversation with late-night TV comedy writer, Alex Friedman!
